Dr. Aaron Grotas and Dr. Harris M. Nagler have authored the varicocele chapter to the fourth edition of Infertility in the Male due out November 29, 2009.

A varicocele is dilated veins that drain the testicle.  It is more common on the left side and is on of the most-common and curable causes of male factor infertility. 

Dr. Grotas trained under Dr. Nagler at Beth Israel Medical Center and is now part of the Beth Israel Academic Facutly Practice.  This chapter reviews the history, indications, surgical options and outcomes of varicocele surgery.
